Meet our physical therapy team
Dr. Tim Vidale is originally from Youngstown, Ohio and brings with him a wealth of clinical and sports experience. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Florida A&M University, where he was a 4-year Division I track and field athlete. Dr. Vidale went on to attain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. Following graduation, Dr. Vidale relocated to Washington, D.C. and continued to hone his craft of sports and orthopedic Physical Therapy. Dr. Vidale is involved in the community and invested in multiple endeavors. He was an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Howard University and was formerly the Chief Physical Therapist for the DC Slayers and DC Furies Rugby clubs. He served as an invited Physical Therapist volunteer for the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, CO in 2014 and was a part of the Team USA medical staff at the Pan American Games in Toronto in 2015. He also serves as the team Physical Therapist for the USA Softball Men’s National Team. Dr. Vidale is also a published author, with publications in internationally distributed text books and scholarly journals. He continues to be active within the profession in the APTA, SPTS, PPS, FSBPT and sits on the DC state board of Physical Therapy as well as serving as a content reviewer for scholarly journals. While specializing in sports injuries and sports performance, Dr. Vidale is also trained in Functional Dry Needling and is well versed in treating a multitude of injuries and pathologies. Dr. Vidale resides in northeast Washington, D.C. with his wife and daughters.
Jennifer M. Nelson, PT, DPT, COMT, CMTPT
Dr. Jennifer Nelson comes to us from Rochester MN with extensive knowledge in persistent/chronic pain including headaches, necks, backs, TMJ, hypermoblity, the pelvics and sports injuries that just will not go away. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Math and Bachelors of Science in Biology from Winona State University. Dr. Nelson then went to the Mayo School of Health Sciences and attained her Doctorates of Physical Therapy. After that she started another doctoral degree, Doctorates of Science in Physical Therapy, at Andrews University. Dr. Nelson is passionate about learning and attends an average of 150 hrs of continuing education a year. She has earned her certification in trigger point dry needling through Myopain, certified manual physical therapist /certified orthopedic manipulative therapist through NAIOMT and Ergonomics level 1 through the back school. Dr Nelson is also 1 of only 50 physical therapists in the DMV who has completed a fellowship, the highest of clinical training certifications for physical therapist. She is currently pursuing a certification in craniofacial therapy with Cranio Facial Therapy Academy (CRAFTA). Dr. Nelson believe strongly in treating the whole person and making sure therapy fits his/her beliefs and abilities to help take him/her to a new functional level. She loves challenges/puzzles and welcomes patients with a complex history or past. She also has a special interest in hypermobility syndrome as she is also hypermobile and has suffered from chronic pain.
Jane Kruszewski, PT, DPT, ATC
Dr. Jane Kruszewski is from Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. There she worked with many of the sports teams including Volleyball, Softball, Men’s Tennis, Football, Women’s Soccer and Track and Field. Dr. Kruszewski then went on to George Washington University here in Washington DC to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is a 200-RYT certified yoga instructor, Certified Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body Pilates and is Level 1 and 2 Functional Dry Needling certified through KinetaCore. Dr. Kruszewski continues to be active in playing many sports, practicing yoga and running. She has a lot of experience working with higher level patients through her work with collegiate and high school athletic teams, the Marine Corps and Navy but enjoys working with patients of all activity levels as well as patients who would like to become more active. She believes in the importance of helping patients understand their condition and understand how physical therapy is helping them achieve their goals in order to encourage them to be more motivated and involved with their own recovery.
JOANNE GRIBLER, PT, DPT, CMTPT
Dr. Joanne Gribler is a native of Dayton, Ohio. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Cincinnati, OH, where she was a 2-year Division I athlete for Cross Country and Track and Field. After sustaining injuries that precluded her from competing, she hung up her running shoes and picked up a swim cap – walking on and receiving a spot on the University of Cincinnati’s Division I Swimming and Diving team, where she participated for her remaining two years. Upon graduating in 2010, Dr. Gribler went on to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Gribler joined us in June, 2016 from Houston, TX, where she worked rehabilitating injured service members of the U.S. Coast Guard. She is currently working toward her certificate as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. An avid runner, swimmer, and cyclist, Dr. Gribler can be seen in and around the Capital region training for triathlons and marathons.
Meet our office manager
John is from Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He went to school in Northwest Ohio at Ohio Northern University where he studied Exercise Physiology. John has joined our team after working with a successful government occupational health organization where customer service and efficiency was key to its success. John aims to build great relationships with our patients and strives to provide exemplary service. John enjoys fishing, playing banjo and guitar, and baseball.
