Dr. Tim Vidale, DPT is a native of Youngstown, Ohio and brings with him a wealth of clinical experience and a vast sports background. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University where he was a 4-year Division I track and field athlete. Dr. Vidale went on to attain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in Stratford, NJ. Following graduation, Dr. Vidale relocated to Washington, D.C. and continued to hone his craft of Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Dr. Vidale is an astute physical therapist who is involved in the community and invested in multiple endeavors. He is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Howard University and is the Chief Physical Therapist for the DC Slayers and DC Furies Rugby clubs. He served as an invited Physical Therapist volunteer for the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, CO from April to May 2014. While specializing in running analysis, runners, running related injuries and sports performance, Dr. Vidale is also trained in Functional Dry Needling and is well versed in treating a multitude of injuries and pathologies. He believes that every person’s injury should be treated as if they were preparing for the Super Bowl because everyone wants a speedy recovery.

Dr. Jennifer Nelson, DPT, COMT, CMTPT comes to us from Rochester MN with extensive knowledge in Chronic pain including headaches, necks, backs, TMJ, hypermoblity, the pelvics and sports injuries that just will not go away. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Math and Bachelors of Science in Biology from Winona State University. Dr. Nelson then went to the Mayo School of Health Sciences and attained her Doctorates of Physical Therapy. After that she started another doctoral degree, Doctorates of Science in Physical Therapy, at Andrews University. Dr. Nelson is passionated about learning and attends an average of 150 hrs of continuing education a year. She has earned her certification in trigger point dry needling and as a certified orthopedic manipulative therapist and certified manual physical therapist. She is currently pursuing her fellowship with North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) and a specialist in craniofacial therapy with Cranio Facial Therapy Academy (CRAFTA). Dr. Nelson believe strongly in treating the whole person and making sure therapy fits his/her beliefs and abilities to help take him/her to a new functional level.

Dr. Jane Kruszewski, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS is from Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. There she worked with many of the sports teams including Volleyball, Softball, Men’s Tennis, Football, Women’s Soccer and Track and Field. Dr. Kruszewski then went on to George Washington University here in Washington DC to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, a Certified Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body Pilates and is Level 1 and 2 Functional Dry Needling certified through KinetaCore. Dr. Kruszewski continues to be active in playing many sports, practicing yoga and running, and is starting a program in the Fall to receive her 200-RYT certification to teach yoga. She has a lot of experience working with higher level patients through her work with collegiate and high school athletic teams, the Marine Corps and Navy but enjoys working with patients of all activity levels as well as patients who would like to become more active. She believes in the importance of helping patients understand their condition and understand how physical therapy is helping them achieve their goals in order to encourage them to be more motivated and involved with their own recovery.

Dr. Joanne Gribler, PT, DPT is a native of Dayton, Ohio. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Cincinnati, OH, where she was a 2-year Division I athlete for Cross Country and Track and Field. After sustaining injuries that precluded her from competing, she hung up her running shoes and picked up a swim cap – walking on and receiving a spot on the University of Cincinnati’s Division I Swimming and Diving team, where she participated for her remaining two years. Upon graduating in 2010, Dr. Gribler went on to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati. Dr. Gribler joined us in June, 2016 from Houston, TX, where she worked on rehabilitating injured service members from the U.S. Coast Guard. She is currently working toward her Functional Dry Needling certification and intends on pursuing her certificate in manual therapy immediately thereafter. An avid runner, swimmer, and biker, Dr. Gribler can be seen in and around the Capital region training for triathlons and marathons.

You Are Covered


Therapydia DC works with and provides billing for most PPO insurance groups including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and Medicare. For clients with out-of-network benefits, most PPO’s will pay a portion of treatment charges with a prescription from a physician. We will assist you in submitting a superbill to your insurance and you will receive reimbursement directly from them. We update our plans frequently so contact us to get more information about your physical therapy insurance coverage. We also accept cash-based payments.
